There are two secrets to finding your purpose. One is in the video below. The second is that you don’t have to find your purpose; you give your purpose its meaning.

Did you watch? Put that name together with what brings you joy. You might grab a journal and spend a few minutes jotting down what comes up for you. These two things changed my life back in 2016.

Your purpose has a face and a name.

You give your purpose its meaning. With awareness, you have a choice.

When these messages came through, they were loud and clear. But I wondered, now what? I wasn’t sure what to do with the info until I realized that the way I lived my life every day was a huge blank canvas for this purposeful practice. And I was about to create a masterpiece.

Are you ready for your 2025 Life Masterpiece?

The next step is living in alignment with your purpose. That takes action, living your moments purposefully co-creating your life in alignment with the joy, love, and connection you were born for.

Rather than feeling like you have to take it all on at once, here are 12 ways to align with your purpose, paired with a creative action step to try each month that will help you be in action with those high-vibe feelings. You can take them in order, or not. Enjoy and find the activities that resonate the most!

  1. Declutter Your Life
    Take this on physically (your home and especially the spaces you create in) and mentally/emotionally. Eliminate distractions and commitments that don’t align with your purpose. My decluttering practices have opened a magical manifestation portal for my life and business that makes me pinch myself on the regular.   2. Practice Mindfulness
    Stay present and intentional in your actions, which can help you connect deeply with your purpose. With awareness, you have a choice. Awareness is the first step to living a life that feels like a masterpiece. Find an awareness or mindfulness (I like the term bodyfulness) meditation and practice every day.
  3. Trust Your Intuition
    Listen to your inner voice to guide you toward decisions that feel right for your purpose. This, for me, is a body awareness practice.   4. Reflect on Your Values
    Regularly assess what matters most to you and ensure your actions reflect those values. Start with a list of ten. Then, choose the five most important values from that list, the ones that feel like deal-breakers in your life. Grab a piece of art paper and draw/paint/collage the words in any way that helps you feel and incorporate their feeling and importance. Creating something visual from the things that matter the most so that we’re reminded on a daily basis is a powerful activity.
  5. Set Intentional Feeling Goals
    Create clear, purposeful goals that align with your long-term vision and passions. I like the term “visioning” more than “goal setting.” Sometimes I sit with all the motivation and passion about envisioning my future and coming up with intentional goals and draw a blank. It’s okay to have days like this. I realized my visioning and goal-setting activities need to reflect the changes in me as I go along the journey. So, every time I set New Year’s resolutions, I seem to fail because shortly after January, they don’t keep me interested anymore. This goal-setting exercise is more for an every 90-day period or so and way more about how you feel. It’s the energy and feeling of what the goal promises that’s the important part of manifestation. And you can feel that way now! This month, come up with the way you want to feel and practice meditating on that feeling. Think it. Draw it. Journal it. Feel it. Yes, you can even vision-board it!
  6. Take Consistent Action
    Break down your goals into small steps and commit to making progress daily. When you do little things every day, you’re living your masterpiece, one step at a time. That creates that bigger, badassier feeling in you. And that feeling is what attracts more of all the goodness to you. This is where my calendar exercise comes into play. I calendar my steps and put them in writing in front of me where I see them every single day. Your version could be a notebook you look at or any other visual you create. It can also be a recording of your vision that you listen to. Whatever it is, create a habit of doing that small thing every single day.
  7. Surround Yourself with Like-Minded People
    Build a network of supportive individuals who inspire and encourage your journey. Your network could be a network of two or three in the beginning. No rules. Don’t be afraid to connect with others and find your peeps. The group can be found HERE.

  8. Celebrate Small Wins
    Acknowledge progress to stay motivated and focused on your larger purpose. I’m so guilty of moving to the next thing without slowing down long enough to bask in the current accomplishment. This month make an effort to journal all the wins! You might create a special notebook just for this purpose to collect your thoughts and good vibes about the amazing things that show up in your life. Light a candle as you open up the notebook to add this week’s or month’s entries and give thanks for all the amazing wins, small, medium, or large!
  9. Write Your Book!
    You know I had to include this one in here! This doesn’t mean that you have to publish anything (although that would be badass). This is about writing your story down and giving witness to it. It’s about healing. It’s about using writing as a tool for transformation. It’s about seeing how far you’ve come. And when it’s aligned with what you’re here to do, it can be an incredibly powerful activity that solidifies your purpose in next-level ways.   10. Develop a Morning (or Nightime) Routine
    Start (and/or end) your day with practices that reinforce your purpose, like journaling, meditation, or exercise. My “miracle morning” is made of a couple of activities that help me feel amazing, no matter how the rest of the day goes. This can be five minutes of journaling or an hour-long routine of yoga, or any other practices that help you live that masterpiece now. Book-ending your day with them is other-level amazing.
  11. Curate Your Spaces
    In my Feng Shui certification course, we learned to declutter, clean, clear, and curate our spaces for maximum magnetic qualities. Curate has become my word for the year. It speaks to awareness. With awareness, we choose how to create the spaces we live in for maximum energy, joy, love, connection, and creativity. My suggestion is to Google “The Bagua Map” and learn about how your home (or any room in your home) can be curated to bring energy to every area of your life you wish. Curating my spaces has definitely created a masterpiece that I get to live every day. This is always a work in progress, so it’s a practice, not an end goal.
  12. Give Back to Your Community
    Align with your purpose by contributing to causes or helping others in meaningful ways. This one is here because no matter what kind of day I’m having (they aren’t all great), getting back to serving others always shifts my energy to something more purposeful. Remember the video up top? Bring that face to your mind and go send him/her a note. Write a blog for them. Create with them in mind. Bringing your action back to something that serves your person is an incredibly powerful activity that I practice as often as I need to.
