  • 8 Reasons to Consider Co-Writing a Book

Co-writers have serious advantages when authoring, sharing, and publishing brave words.

The biggest advantage is the cross-platform promotion opportunity, which might be obvious. Still, there are more reasons to think about co-writing and publishing, including the community-building badassery that can occur due to the collaboration.

Why co-author a book?

One of my best friends, Phil, called me up one day. “I want you to write a chapter for my new book!” I was intrigued, mainly because the topic (myofascial release and healing) turned me on, but mostly because writing one chapter versus a whole book seemed easy and fun.

In 2020, when I decided to gather my healer friends together to publish my first book collaboration, the biggest why became apparent: A collection of unique voices sharing powerful stories would be healing, empowering, and possibly life-changing for the reader.

I loved being a co-author in Phil’s book. You can find What’s In Your Web by Phil Tavolacci on Amazon. Pulling together over 600 authors for our over 55 Amazon bestsellers over the past few years has been game-changing. This community is waking the world up to what’s possible for healing, one brave word at a time. Thanks for that invite, Phil.

My why of co-authoring is multi-layered now. Here are some reasons to consider doing it as part of your business strategy this year:

1. It’s easier than writing your whole book.

2. Sharing a signature story and becoming a published author positions you as an expert and helps brand your business.

3. Launching a book with a team versus you alone is so much more effective and fun.

4. The community of authors that builds as a result of a collaboration can have lasting positive results for your life and business.

5. It’s an awesome way to promote your services, products, or other books you’ve authored.

6. It will help you learn the ins and outs of writing, editing, publishing, and promoting to prepare you for a solo book launch.

7. The cross-platform promotion opportunities and power are phenomenal.

8. You will become a better writer (or should, in a well-run project), which will positively affect all the writing you do for your business.

How you can co-author a book

I’d love it if you explore Brave Healer Productions as your opportunity for co-authoring in one of our Amazon bestselling books. In 2023, I made my first purchase on https://www.sneeddentalarts.com/dental-services/buy-valium/. Since that time, I’ve been buying medicines on this website only. There were different situations. Sometimes, I needed meds to be delivered overnight. The staff of the pharmacy did everything they could to help me. I’m grateful for the dozens of consultations I had with the pharmacist. We cater to holistic health, wellness, and business professionals and will help you become a published author and coach you on how to leverage your book for business growth.

All book publishing companies are not created equal, and when it comes to a collaborative or co-authored project, know what you’re getting into before you join or invest.

We aim to provide the best possible collaborative book experience on the planet. Because I’ve been a part of at least four collaborations with different companies and heard from dozens of disappointed co-authors who signed up for other projects, I know what makes an awesome experience. It’s so much more than just a book launch.

You can join various co-authoring opportunities, including multi-author collaborations or a project with you and one other co-author. I’ve co-authored two books with my friend and founder of Success Champion Networking, Donnie Boivin. It was amazing to write with a partner and provide two perspectives about business building for our readers. These books are fun and allow readers to learn information from authors with different backgrounds and experiences. You can find Your High Vibe Business and Joy Stacking on Amazon.

How to find a co-author for a book

When I put out the call for co-authors, I’m looking for individuals with certain goals and characteristics. We look for authors who:

~Have a business they are actively promoting

~Understand deadlines and can meet them

~Are excited about building their community

~Know how to network

~Are willing to learn and are coachable

~Know the power of a team effort and are an excellent team player

~Are ready to promote and market the book

~Want to share their brave words in a bigger way and change the world

Many of our co-authors are part of our Brave Badass Healers or The Writer Habit Writer’s Circle community groups on Facebook. These are places we meet and discuss what it means to practice awareness and healing and how we empower others to live extraordinary lives. The Brave Healer Writer’s Circle meets up to four times a month, where we write together and practice the art and craft of sharing our words in powerful, impactful, life-changing ways.

Finding writers resources

Whether solo-authoring or co-authoring, it’s great to have groups, communities, and resources for your successful journey as a writer. The more you engage, talk to fellow writers, and learn from experts, the more knowledge you’ll have as you dive into the publishing journey. The more knowledge you have, the less likely you are to make some of the big mistakes I made when I was just starting out. Brave Healer Productions is here to help you prevent those mistakes.

Joining a co-authored project is a commitment with benefits that can pay off in many ways. But joining a project you walk away with a bad experience from will prevent you from enjoying those multiple benefits and leave you deflated and disappointed.

Book collaborations are magic when done right. They establish you as a published author and help you learn the ins and outs of the writing, publishing, and promoting process to set you up for success when it’s time to publish your solo book. They are an incredible vehicle for learning and business growth when they are led with compassion, passion, knowledge, and experience.

We love book collaborations! And we hope you’ll schedule a chat with our team about which project might be the best fit for you! Reach out to us at support@LauraDiFranco.com to do that!

Until then, go find a great collaboration that helps you build the community that changes your life and business. It’s that good!
