You know, I debated posting a recent essay about taekwondo because it was kind of against ITF taekwondo, which is what our school practices.  And after a thoughtful comment from someone I respect greatly, I considered pulling it off.  But…
I think what is more interesting than the authors’ slant about WTF vs. ITF is that there is this incredibly awesome sport that people all over the world have an intense passion for, and there are so many ways people try to control the way we practice, by saying one way is better, right or wrong,  or whatever.  Reminds me of religion a little.
I believe in taekwondo.

It seems that one of the skills you develop when practicing TKD is self-confidence and self-awareness. It is great to see you unafraid to speak your mind and voice your opinion in such a global way.
