Writing is a powerful manifesting tool. Once you understand that power and a few of the rules, you will forever be able to choose words that create your deepest desires.
How do I know? I’ve done it.
In fact, now I have to be very careful what I write and say because I sometimes experience instant manifestations of my words. Ooh, the responsibility!
I can’t think of anything more interesting (and powerful in terms of living a juicy life) than the fact that taking responsibility for what you think, write, and speak can create your life.
Ever doubt this because you don’t have proof yet? I have, too. But what I’m realizing (and learned from the Queen of manifestation, Esther Hicks) is that we think we’re keeping our thoughts and words on point, but in reality, our doubts, fears, worries, and worst-case scenarios are winning—out of habit.
It takes some ninja moves of awareness to hone your practice and develop new habits. Once you do, the scales tip, and you start to see manifestation happening, sometimes instantly. It’s incredible.
Fall back into your bad habits of worry? Watch as things shift again.
You’re creating your future moments now. Everything is attraction.
I actually have that statement—Everything is Attraction—written in big, bold, black letters on my office whiteboard so that I’m reminded all day long that what I’m doing, saying, and writing is creating. We need daily (sometimes hourly) reminders to create a new, healthier, more badass habit.
Winter is a lovely time for journaling, reflecting, and moving inward. I love adding journaling and writing practices during this time of year and love pairing them with extra sacred touches to put a boost of intention into them. Here’s one you can follow that I call “Goddess Journaling”—meant for Gods and Goddesses alike! Enjoy!
The 3-Step Goddess Journaling Ritual for Manifesting
- Create your sacred writing space
- Set the intention
- Write
Create Your Sacred Writing Space
I have a great full chapter on this in our book, Sacred Spaces. Find that on Amazon HERE.
I’m Chapter 21, Feng Shui Your Soul First: How to Set Up Your Sacred Writing Space.
Clean and clear a writing surface (table or desk) where you won’t be disturbed. This space should feel sacred, calming, and, in general, good. You can take a deeper breath here. The light is warm and inviting. The air is clean and stimulating. The colors are inspiring. Take some time to curate your sacred writing area. It could be a corner of a room, a whole small room, or a desk in one area of your room.
Set Your Intention
This takes the space to the next level. Bring your favorite cup of tea to the desk with you. Find your favorite crystals and put them on the desk. Use some walnut flower essence to clean your desk top. Find a couple of your favorite candles (scent and color) and light them. State out loud your intention for the session: “I’m so happy and grateful to write words that manifest amazing things for my life!” Add a lamp if you need to energize the space with better lighting. Or open the window shades (making sure to clean them if needed). Put on some sound-healing music or other kind of music that you love. Add high-vibe energy to your space in all these ways! There are no rules to how you set intentions in your sacred writing space. Have fun with it!
Write
Part 1: Open up to a blank page in your journal or notebook and set a timer for 5-10 minutes. The time you spend on this is up to you, so if longer sounds better, go longer! Try to write as fast as you can without censoring yourself. Just allow the words to flow from your heart to your pen, getting out of the way of what’s flowing through. Try not to judge. Just be curious.
Fill in the blank: What I really want right now is __________.
Write until the timer goes off.
Now, go take a break. Get up and move. You can go for a walk, return to your work for a bit, or do any other normal activity. The idea is to take a break before you go to Part 2.
Part 2:
Come back to your journal and read your entry.
Now, open to a new, blank page and start with the line:
“I’m so happy and grateful now that. . .”
Next, going line by line with your last exercise, write each sentence as if it’s already happened, making sure to detail everything in as many sensory words as possible. Help yourself see, smell, taste, touch, and hear what you are experiencing now that you have it as if it’s already here.
Because it is.
You live the life you want by living it now. Writing it out and feeling it inside you, each emotion, each sense, is you living it (and creating it).
Added bonus: Close your eyes and envision the scene in as much detail as possible. Your brain doesn’t know the difference between the scene you’re experiencing in your mind and the one you’re experiencing in reality. Your vision is reality to your body-mind.
You can, of course, use Goddess Journaling any time, not just in the winter. But what a fun, powerful way to head into the New Year, manifesting everything you desire!
