What it’s about is helping each other. Here we are on the planet all alone and surrounded by people, family, friends, co-workers, the grocery store checker, the gal who puts her mat next to yours in yoga class every week… We all have dreams, goals, purpose and passions, sometimes they jive with the people we meet, sometimes ours are much different than theirs. We are here to connect with these people, in one way or another.
I was talking to a friend about her friend’s blog the other day. The friend was saying how the other friend was sad that she didn’t have very many followers of her blog, and that she was trying to explain to her friend how it works. You rub my back, I will rub yours…you have to read other people’s blogs, and comment and interact, and you will get more exposure to your blog, and so on. What it is about is helping each other, supporting one another, being a cheerleader for someone else’s passion, goal or interest. Without this we are sitting at our computer, alone, and really, what are we doing it all for?
The problem sometimes is that it is hard to light a fire under people to get involved. There are so many reasons that we don’t. We don’t care, we aren’t interested, we don’t have the time, and we keep our energy to ourselves, focused only on what we are doing, feeling, and thinking. One thing I have learned about being able to achieve what you want in life is that you can practice by getting caught up in the energy and celebration of what someone else is doing or achieving in their life. You can put positive energy out there, by supporting them, feeling happy for them, celebrating their successes with them, and then, what goes around comes around.
Really! I know you have heard that saying before, but do you really practice it? And while you are spreading the love, you don’t ignore your own goals and dreams, you fuel them with your thoughts, feelings and actions. You make your own steps toward what you want along with being the cheerleader for someone else. And don’t be afraid to ask! Ask for help, ask for support, ask for readers, ask, ask, ask. Do not assume that people can read your mind. Do not assume they know that you need support. I have met people who give and give, to the point of forgetting themselves. That is not the point. You can give and receive. You must fill your own tank or you will run out of gas, and then you will have nothing to give.
This is powerful stuff. It works. You have to practice.
What it’s all about is connecting with and helping others, supporting them with your positive thoughts, feelings and actions, and at the same time, working on the thoughts, feeling and actions that are moving you toward your own dreams. If you think you can do it all by yourself, believe me, without other people, it is hard, maybe impossible. We need each other. We are here to help each other. We are here to love each other. We are on the planet to connect with others.

I love what you have said here. It is all so true. God tells us to love one another. Wouldn’t that be something, if everyone in the world simply obliged. Thank you! With love,,,
