  • How a Writing Retreat Can Improve Your Productivity

When it’s done right, a writer’s retreat not only inspires and teaches but also connects you with a clarity and confidence of purpose that’ll change the way you do your life, including increasing your productivity, among many other wonderful things!

One might wonder about the added benefits of attending a writer’s retreat beyond becoming a better writer! I hope I have your attention because what you’re about to understand will help you shop retreats this year and get the most out of your investments as a writer and a human.

Writer retreats 2024

When looking at a writing retreat, how do you know it’s the best one for you? Aside from being inspired or becoming a better writer, do you think about what else is possible? What are the reasons to attend a writing retreat beyond the obvious?

When I attended a writer’s retreat in the past, I looked for inspiration and knowledge. I hoped for the skills to help me share my words in the best possible way, for marketing ideas, some copywriting advice, and definitely connections with instructors who’d help me make it in the big, bad world of books, blogs, and content. My reasons may be different than yours.

What are some of the reasons you attend a writer’s retreat?

What if I told you you’re about to get some productivity tips? And what if I were to share that the best writing retreats in 2024 are going to help you write better, and the productivity tips you get without even realizing it will be profound? That’s kinda mind-bending, right? How would a writer’s retreat help me with productivity unless it was a business writing class?

What I know about the writing retreat world is that there are all shapes and sizes of retreats with all kinds of ways to play in the writing world. I’m passionate about providing some unexpected surprises and added bonuses in our Brave Healer Writers Retreats in 2024, like the connection to clarity, courage, and confidence you need to make your dreams come true.

This is so much bigger than writing or productivity.

A writer’s retreat with a healing component is crucial because if you follow the motto, feeling is healing, you’ll understand why it’s a must when you’re learning to write. When we write, we’re learning how to help the reader feel. If we’re not feeling and healing, the reader isn’t either. If we don’t allow ourselves to experience life at this level and trailblaze this healing work, our writing won’t have the energy it needs to help the reader.

This is a great responsibility.

What does this have to do with productivity? Everything!

Here’s the path I see with the process of a writing retreat that not only inspires and educates but helps you be a prolific writer and be more productive in everything you do in your life.

The retreat helps. . .

. . . encourage you to connect to your inner wisdom and power.

. . . you reflect on your goals (for life and your writing).

. . . you align with your passion, desires, and goals.

. . . you get clear on your writing voice.

. . . you notice what can be improved.

. . . by supporting your learning process with valuable feedback.

. . . by connecting you with a community that has your back.

. . . you focus.

. . . you feel.

. . . you move through your fears.

. . . you write like a badass.

The writer’s retreats in 2024 that I’ll be engaging in for myself and creating for others will have many or all of these components, and I’ll be making sure I invest in companies who understand that writing, publishing, and sharing brave words is a healing journey.

When we take responsibility for showing up in the world (with our words and energy) in a way that helps us and others, we’re changing the world at that very moment. And that is a big-potatoes thing to me.

I hope you’ll join us for the very first Brave Healer Writer’s Retreat  this May 15-19 at the Honor’s Haven Retreat and Conference Center. We’ll gather with some of the world’s most experienced healers, writers, publishers, and business coaches to offer you a retreat that goes beyond your expectations. We’re curating the energy, intention, and agenda we know will be much more than learning how to be a better writer, but offering the deep dive into your soul that you’ll need to affect everything you do for all of those you serve.

This is a big ripple. Your legacy is ours. And it matters. We hope you’ll join us and bask in the mission of Brave Healer Productions: We’re waking the world up to what’s possible for healing, one brave word at a time. Thank you to all the Brave Healers on this journey with us. Your commitment to this journey is beyond amazing. And I’m grateful to be here doing this together with you.
