  • How to Make the Energy of Celebration Work for you Even if you Don’t Have Anything to Celebrate

What can you CELEBRATEtoday?-2Yes, it’s the Law of Attraction. To become a seriously badass manifester you must learn how to feel happy, joyous, blissful and enthusiastic even when you don’t have anything to be happy about.

But my guess is if you look around you, there are plenty of things to focus on, even if right now you think everything sucks. It’s a gratitude thing. There is always…always something to be grateful for.

In fact, it’s not really hard at all…you only need to open your eyes, heart and attitude to every miracle. They’re all around you all day long. I count at least ten as I sit typing this, looking out my office window. They are in the form of nature; the birds, the flowers, the trees, and they are in big forms too…the car I get to drive every day, the beautiful home I live in, my healthy kids…you get the idea. There is always something, and it is always worth celebrating.

This kind of celebration attitude and exuberance is a choice and that choice comes from being aware. Right now my left hip aches (and has been for months), my daughter has not received the results of her MRI yet, and a good friend is recovering from cancer.

Even though life, and all it’s shit, continues to throw us challenges, problems and even tragedies, I choose to celebrate.

Why? It beats the alternative, which is some form of resignation, negativity and depression all day long.

In the words of Dr. Wayne Dyer from his book, Excuses Begone, “If you aren’t 100% sure that a situation will turn out positive, but you also aren’t 100% sure it will turn out negative, then in the meantime, while you wait, why don’t you focus on the positive outcome?”

I am going to trump his positive thinking technique with and all out “imagine the positive scenario like it’s already happening” card. When you feel the feelings of celebration The Universe conspires on your behalf and starts to get things rolling. Start small if you have to.

When I first dabbled with this idea I was in a slightly competitive mindset. (Maybe more than slightly) I was starting up my private physical therapy practice and going out marketing to build my business. I was envious when I heard about a colleague who was already growing and thriving in their practice…until I realized that that feeling was doing me absolutely no fucking good!

I flipped the switch and celebrated with her; went to the open house, and sent her a congrats note. I got totally caught up in the fabulous energy of celebration, and guess what? I was able to celebrate my own thriving practice only weeks later!

This is what the Law of Attraction is all about. It is a vibration of energy. Everything is energy. And our emotions carry either high or low vibrations of energy, that we carry around with us all day long and whether we know it or not, share with others and are the basis for what we attract to ourselves.

You have to set your vibration higher so that the stuff you want is sucked toward you like a magnet. If you are in the mindset and feeling of celebration, then you will have more to celebrate. It works like that.

Here is the problem. People think they are positive thinkers. They think they are doing this thing I’m talking about but the reality is that their default mindset is still in worry. Worry, fear, doubt and negativity are low vibrations. We have a tough time staying out of those mindsets because we have been practicing for a really long time. We may have even been conditioned to do this from a very young age. We were taught to not get too happy about anything.

It’s time to make a change.

The key is awareness. If you think you are a positive thinker, I challenge you to up-level your skills. Try to practice a more fierce discipline of awareness about your thoughts. Watch them like a hawk. Make sure they don’t slip! When they slip, so something productive with them. Try journaling about those feelings to clear them out of you.

“I write to Feng Shui my soul” isn’t a clever little quote I made up just for fun…it is actually what helps me transform my thoughts and energy. And it works! Some people write, some people paint, some people discuss these topics with trusted friends or therapists…there are tons of ways to deal with and transform your thoughts. You might as well get started!

Then get back to something that serves your greater desires and dreams…some form of celebration and gratitude. Any form will do, be creative. If you can’t find it close by, go find someone else celebrating, and help them! I promise you that the very least that will happen from your efforts is you will be having way more fun. The most that can happen? The sky and your deepest desires are the limit.
